Someone opened fire at a house yesterday evening

Merseyside Police are appealing for information after a shot was fired in Bootle yesterday evening (Sunday 20 February).
At around 7.15pm someone fired at a house on Westminster Avenue, damaging the windows.
There haven't been reports of any injuries.
An investigation has been launched and officers remain at the scene this morning (Monday 21 February) to carry out CCTV, forensic and house-to-house enquiries, and speak to the local community.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or with any information is asked to contact police.
Detective Inspector Catherine Walsh said:
“These are the early stages of an investigation, during which we are working to establish exactly what happened and preserve any evidence.
“If you were in the area, passing by or live locally, you could be able to help. Your CCTV, dashcam, doorbell footage may present us with opportunities to find those responsible for this incident and quickly take them and their weapon off the streets.
“Gun crime in Merseyside has fallen dramatically in the past few years, due in no small part to those people prepared to speak to us about such incidents, directly or anonymously. However you choose to tell us, please come forward and we will take action.”
