UPDATE: A road in Bootle has re-opened, after an unexploded device was removed from a construction site.
It's the second time an ordnance has been found in the same location this week.
It's now been removed by bomb disposal teams, to be detonated in a safe location.
Earlier, we reported:
A second suspected unexploded device has been found on a construction site in Bootle, in the space of three days.
Merseyside Police were sent to North Atlantic Avenue around 11.45am this morning (Thursday 24th October).
Officers were sent to the same location at 10.15am on Tuesday (22nd October).
Dunningsbridge Road is currently closed in both directions between Park Lane and Boundary Road/Netherton Way.
Emergency services are asking drivers to avoid the area.
