Search continues for teenager missing in river near Frodsham

It's thought the 16-year-old fell in yesterday afternoon

A search operation's continuing in Sutton Weaver this morning , as emergency service try to find a teenage boy who is believed to have fallen into the River Weaver.

At around 3.50pm yesterday (Monday 19 July) police received reports that a 16-year-old boy may have fallen into the river near Frodsham.

Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene and an extensive search operation is ongoing.

Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1041072.
