A Covid outbreak has caused the Royal Court Theatre to cancel upcoming shows of The Scouse Sleeping Beauty till 4th January.

Despite the cast, crew and staff testing every day, this is the second outbreak the cast has faced since opening in November.

In a statement, the Royal Court said: " We know that people will have been looking forward to the shows but we have reached a point where we feel that it is the right thing to do for the safety of the cast, crew, staff and audience".

"If you have tickets booked for any of the affected performances then your booking is covered by our Covid refund guarantee so, don’t worry, you are entitled to a full refund. If you would prefer then we can move your booking to later in the run.

"All departments have been affected by positive tests so Box Office is extremely busy at the moment as I am sure you can appreciate. There are lots of people who we need to contact so if you don’t get through straight away then please be patient. We will reach everybody but it may take some time to get through all of the calls and emails. Our Box Office team are working hard to return all calls and emails and your money and tickets are safe.
