Schoolboy in "life-threatening condition" after being hit by car in Chester

A schoolboy is in a "life-threatening" condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Chester.
The 11-year-old was rushed to hospital from Wrexham Road on Tuesday night.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a grey Nissan Qashqai and a pedestrian at around 17:12GMT.
The driver of the Nissan, a 28-year-old woman from Wrexham, was not injured during the incident.
In a statement, Cheshire Police said: "an 11-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries and was treated at the scene before being taken to Alder Hey hospital for further treatment.
"His injuries are thought to be life-threatening."
Detectives are now appealing to speak to any witnesses and want to see any CCTV or dashcam footage.
Inspector Anton Sullivan, of the Constabulary's Roads and Crime Unit, said: "I understand that this is a considerably distressing incident and our thoughts remain with the victim’s family.
"As part of our enquiries to establish the circumstances that led up to the collision, we are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any information about it, to please contact us."
