Rock N' Roll Marathon

In partnership with Radio City 2, Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon & half Marathon is back 27-28th May and promises to be bigger and better than ever

The popular running event is set to take part in the 50 Summers of Love celebration, embracing the music and culture of 1967. RC2 are the official media partner.

As the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love, Liverpool will play host to a season of events and performances inspired by the era including the annual musically themed race weekend which offers a Saturday 5K and Sunday distances from one mile to a full marathon.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon is known for putting local bands and live entertainment along the course to encourage runners as they make their way to the finish line. The musically themed race concludes with a finish festival and headline concert outside of Echo Arena to celebrate the day’s achievements.

Last year’s event brought record breaking numbers to Liverpool with 16,000 registrants and has recently been nominated in THREE categories for the 2017 UK Running Awards: Fun Run (5k), Half Marathon and Marathon!

Radio City 2’s Breakfast co-host Claire Simmo will be hosting the main stage for the marathon and half marathon on Sunday and Rick Houghton from the Home run will be hosting the 5k event on the Saturday.
