As kids across Merseyside draw up their Christmas lists, retail bosses here are reassuring parents they'll have enough toys to go round in the run up to the big day.

It's after reports suggested some highstreet stores could experience shortages due to a global shipping crisis.

But Iain Finlayson from Liverpool One is confident everyone will get what they want this Christmas :

"We've spoken to our stores here and they're confident with their stock levels and what they are now and what they'll be as we get nearer to Christmas. I don't think there's any need for an immediate rush and I'm sure Christmas is something people are looking forward to, possibly more than ever.

"There's a lot of stuff ot there about potential shortages of certain things but people said this about toilet roll as well and people stocked up with that and it wasn't needed in the end.

"There's a few scare stories out there at the moment, don't necessarily believe everything".
