Liverpool will celebrate the life and career of one the finest footballers to ever grace the pitch at Anfield later.
The funeral of Roger Hunt, the club's second all time leading goal scorer, takes place at the Anglican Cathedral this morning.
'Sir Roger' as he was christened by the Kop scored 285 goals in 492 appearances for the Reds and was also a part of England's World Cup winning side in 1966.
Another club legend, Robbie Fowler's been giving us his tribute :
"He was an incredible player. Legend gets used far too much in football but what Roger achieved epitomises legend.
"I've never heard anyone say a bad word about Roger; he was a genuinely lovely man and the world is a much sadder place without him in it. The amount of goals and appearances for Liverpool and England but he was just a lovely man. It gets said an awful lot but with him it was absolutely true".
