Radio City Viewing Gallery

The Radio City Viewing Gallery is now open. If you want to see the view from the Tower find out how here.

Spring 2010 saw the opening of St Johns Beacon full time to the general public, opening daily all year round including Bank Holidays. We only close and put our feet up on Christmas, Boxing and New Year’s Day.

Standing proudly some 400 feet above the heart of the City Centre of Liverpool, the beacon offers stunning panoramic views of Merseyside, Wirral, North Wales, Lancashire and as far as Blackpool, the Lake District and even Snowdonia on clearer days. Not bad for an observation deck that was originally designed to be a chimney.

The Gallery is situated on the original level of the beacon which once housed the famous Tower Restaurant back in the 1970’s. Locals affectionately refer to our iconic landmark as the Radio City Tower, and you can see for yourself the studios of Radio City, Radio City 2 and Radio City Talk.

The beacon is open to visitors from 10:15am - 5:15pm with last entry to the beacon being 15 minutes before close. There is no need to book in advance though tickets can be purchased in advance by clicking here.

Prices are just £5.50 for adults, £4.50 for those fortunate enough to be student or retired and £3.50 for children up to the age of 15. Under 5’s are free of charge. A family ticket for 2 Adults and up to 3 Children is £15.00.
