Police treating house fire in Norris Green as Arson

Fire was started last night in the living room of the property

Merseyside Police can confirm that a fire at a house in Norris Green, Liverpool last night is being treated as an arson. The fire started in the living room of the house after a window was smashed and an object containing a flammable liquid was thrown in. A man inside the house put the fire out with water before the fire service and then the police were called. The fire damaged a sofa and smoke damaged the walls. Detectives from Liverpool CID are treating the arson as a targeted attacked and enquiries are continuing.
