Detectives investigating the murder of Olivia Platt-Korbel in Dovecot are issuing an image of an Audi Q3 which forms part of the investigation, and aerial footage of last night's arrest of a 36-year-old on suspicion of murder.

Officers attended at a house on Kingsheath Avenue, Dovecot at 10pm on Monday night after reports that an unknown male had fired a gun inside the property, resulting in the death of nine-year-old Olivia and injuries to her mother and a 35-year-old man.

The Audi Q3 is believed to have taken the 35-year-old man who was injured in the shooting to hospital. We are keen to speak to anyone who saw this car in the days leading up to the shooting, or has any information about its movements after leaving Kingsheath Avenue on the night. We have seized this vehicle and it is in process of being forensically examined.

Detective Superintendent Mark Baker said: “Although we have made an arrest in connection with the horrific murder of Olivia, I want to make it completely clear that we need any information about this vehicle or the wider investigation as much as ever.

“Whatever information you have, and whether you are sure that it is the same vehicle or not, pass it on and we will assess its importance.”

An investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC or contact @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111 with reference 22000621096.
