Police are searching for two suspects after an 18-year-old was stabbed in an alleyway behind a supermarket in Moreton.

Officers rushed to reports of an attack off Hoylake Road at around 09:45BST on Friday morning (27 September).

It is believed the 18-year-old man was stabbed by two other men he was with, who then ran off towards Upton Road.

He is currently in hospital.

Detective Chief Inspector Holly Chance said: “We are in the early stages of the investigation to establish the circumstances of what has taken place.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Hoylake Road by Heron Foods and seen or heard anything, or two males running away from the scene to come forward and speak to us.

“I also urge people in the area to check your CCTV and dashcam footage to see if it has captured any footage, no matter how small, as any information may help with the investigation.”
