Police Carry Out Drug Raids Across South Liverpool
Eight people have been arrested following drugs raids across South Liverpool this morning.
Officers from the Matrix Serious and Organised Crime team today executed warrants at 13 addresses in Toxteth, Aigburth and Garston, in a crackdown on the supply and distribution of Class A and Class B drugs. The warrants are the culmination of a 12 month operation mounted after concerns raised by local residents about drug dealing. Five men have been arrested and a quantity of drugs and cash has been seized. During the investigation significant quantities of cocaine and heroin have been recovered, together with the dismantling of a number of cannabis farms. It is estimated that the street value of those drugs seized to date to be in the region of £350,000. You can watch a video of the raids below
