Police appeal over Liverpool bus attack

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they wish to speak to in connection with an assault on a bus in Liverpool.

Merseyside Police has issued a CCTV still of a man officers believe may have important information following an incident on a bus in Knotty Ash. The victim was on the bus as it travelled along East Prescot Road at about 2.40pm on Monday, 11 January when she was assaulted by a male passenger. Officers have released CCTV of a man they wish to trace, as he may have information that could assist with their enquiries. Detective Constable Chloe Wilson said: “The victim was very distressed by what happened and reported the incident to us. “As part of our on-going inquiries, we have issued a CCTV image of a man who we think may have important information which could help with our investigation. “I would appeal to the man, or anyone who recognises him, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.” Anyone with information can call detectives in Liverpool on 0151 777 4065 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
