Police appeal launched after 72-year-old dies month after Wirral crash

A 72-year-old old man from Seacombe has died nearly a month after a crash on Bidston Link Road in Wirral.
Harry Murphy was the front seat passenger in a silver Toyota Yaris which was involved in a crash with a silver Ford Focus just before midday on Wednesday the 29th of October.
He was taken to hospital after the crash and sadly died from his injuries yesterday.
His family say he was a loving son and brother who will be deeply missed.
Merseyside Police have confirmed an investigation is underway and anyone who saw what happened is being urged to come forward.
His sister has today paid tribute to him saying: “Harry was a loving son and brother and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him”.
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson, Lead Investigating Officer from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts remain with Harry’s family. They are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers. It is our priority to get answers for them and I appeal to the public to help us do that by contacting us if they have information which may assist the investigation.
“I believe there were numerous other motorists who were driving past on both sides of the dual carriageway at the time who could have vital information to help our ongoing enquiries. If you saw the collision or anything else that you feel we need to be aware of, please get in touch”.
