Police appeal for information after attempted robbery in Warrington

Cheshire Police are asking for witnesses to come forward, after an attempted robbery on Sharp Street.

Police in Cheshire are appealing for witnesses, after a man was approached and threatened by several robbers in Warrington last Thursday.

The 28 year-old man was walking along Sharp Street, when two men demanded he hand over his mobile phone. Several other men then appeared from an alleyway and chased him down the street. Some of them were believed to be carrying knives.

One of the suspects is described as being around 5’ 4” tall, of slim build, and with short black hair. The other man is described as 6’ tall, and of a similar build.

Detective Constable Stephen Deehan said: “We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry and I am extremely keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident"
