Plans to hold more sport events at Anfield REJECTED
Plans by Liverpool FC to hold more sporting events outside the football calendar have been thrown out by Councillors.
The club had proposed to holding events such as rugby league, union and other events after the season had ended.
But residents had raised concerned over traffic, noise and pollution with more people heading to the ground.
Today, Councillors voted to reject the plans.
A second application to hold up to 10 music concerts has been deferred.
A representative for the club said they were in constant dialogue with residents over ongoing concerns.
