Parents Tribute To Daughter After Fatal Accident
The parents of a little girl knocked down by a van in Wirral have paid an emotional tribute to her.
4 year old Esme Weir was struck at around midday on Friday on Gladtone Road.
Paramedics treated her at the scene but she later died at Arrowe Park Hospital.
In a statement released via Cheshire Police, her parents said:
"Sadly on Friday 15th January 2016 our beautiful daughter Esmé Rose Weir tragically passed away following a road traffic collision on Gladstone Road, Neston. We would like to thank everybody who helped at the scene, residents of Gladstone Road, paramedics and all the staff at Arrowe Park Hospital. We have been overwhelmed with all the love, support and spirit of the community in Neston and all at St Winefrides church. Our little princess has gone to heaven and will be deeply missed and will remain always with us in our hearts and thoughts."

Cheshire Police today said no arrests had been made following the incident and enquiries were ongoing.
