Two men due in court after firearm incident in Liverpool city centre

Thankfully no one was injured

Detectives have charged two men following an incident in Liverpool in which an imitation firearm was reportedly used to threaten a man.

It happened on Sunday 8 January in the city centre.

Kenny Scott, 25, of Robertson Street, Dingle, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence; and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Jake Spencer, 22, of Bridgewater Street, Liverpool has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence; and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Merseyside Police say there is "no suggestion" that that a gun was fired, anyone was injured or any damage caused.

Both men will appear at Wirral Adult Remand court on Wednesday.
