Nine Year Old Girl Critical After Walton Crash

A nine year old girl is in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Liverpool. At about 5.05pm, it was reported that a blue Volkswagen Golf had been in collision with a pedestrian, a nine-year-old girl, on Walton Hall Avenue.

The girl was treated at the scene by paramedics after sustaining serious head and leg injuries before being taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital for further treatment. She is still in a critical condition.

A 31-year-old woman, stopped at the scene where she was treated by paramedics for shock.

The eastbound carriageway of Walton Hall Avenue is closed between Queens Drive and Stopgate Lane. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
