Murder investigation after the second fatal shooting in Liverpool in ten days

The hunt's continuing for a gunman who shot a man dead in Wavertree last night - the second fatal shooting on Merseyside in just ten days.
Police were called to Alderson Road at around 10.40pm last night
Armed officers and the ambulance service attended and the man who was 25 was taken to hospital where he died in the early hours
At this stage it is believed to be a targeted attack.
One woman who lives nearby said "I think it's horrible, to know it's that close to home"
This is the second fatal shooting in Liverpool in ten days after the death of Carl Russell in Belle Vale.
The 27 year old was shot as he was sitting in his girlfriend's car on Cornwood Close on Sunday 7th October.
Earlier this week a man was shot while children played outside on Peter Road in Walton. The man in his 20s is continuing to recover in hospital.
