Police have confirmed that a mother and daughter murdered in Anfield died from severe head injuries.

Police have confirmed that a mother and daughter murdered in Anfield died from severe head injuries.

The bodies of 28 year old Jade Hales and 53 year old Karen Hales were found alongside a dog at their home on Cathedral Road on Monday morning.

Samantha Parkin who's 25 was Jade’s best friend, she said:

“She was bubbly, she was funny, she was dozy, she was kind.

“She would do anything for anyone. She loved everyone who came into contact with her.

“It’s the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I’m going to miss her.”

Ms Parkin added: “Her mum, Karen, was phenomenal. We all called her Mama Karen.”

A 42-year-old man from Anfield, arrested in connection with the incident, remains in police custody and is still being questioned by detectives.
