Merseyside pupils call for Radio City's Scouse Pride campaign to be brought into lessons

After watching our documentary Maricourt Catholic High are putting it on their curriculum

Our Scouse Pride campaign is hitting home in Merseyside's schools with pupils themselves calling for it to be on the curriculum.

After a recent spike in attacks on the LGBTQ community we've been showing our documentary to children to highlight what they can do if they witness homophobic or transphobic abuse.

After seeing the impact the video had on their students, Maricourt Catholic High have become the first to agree to put it on their curriculum.

With the support of Merseyside Police and ocal organisations we launched our campaign over the Summer to promote Liverpool and Merseyside as being no place for hate.

We hope by bringing together the experience of victims and the impact on families as well as signposting to support services we can help change hearts and minds to challenge stereotypes.

We now want all schools across Merseyside to use our video as a way of opening up discussion in to a serious, but often delicate subject.
