Police are investigating after a Merseyside man died from head injuries in Scarborough

A Merseyside man's died after suffering serious head injuries in Scarborough this weekend.

North Yorkshire Police were called at around 6.30am on Sunday 7 August by a member of the public who found a man with serious injuries on a terraced area between Foreshore Road and the Grand Hotel in Scarborough. Police and paramedics attended the incident, but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are treating the man's death as unexplained at this time and are working to establish the circumstances that led to the his injuries and subsequent death. The dead man is aged in his 30s and from the Merseyside area, he was staying in Scarborough at the time. Three men were arrested in connection with the incident and have been released on bail while police enquiries continue.
