Mattel Play! Liverpool has officially opened its doors at the Albert Dock, just in time for the Easter holidays.

Featuring childhood heroes Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam and Thomas & Friends, the brand new indoor activity attraction promises a day full of adventure and inspiration, bringing the TV shows and stories to life.

The attraction spans over 13,000 square feet and takes children and parents on a journey through three uniquely themed areas.

Starting with Thomas & Friends, explore the Island of Sodor from the Steamworks to Farmer McColl’s farm. Meet Rosie in the meadow, before joining Harold at his ball pond sea. The full size engines stand beside a live mini train station running through the town.

Then, grab a hard hat and join Bob the Builder & team in his new yard. Once on site, assist Wendy and the others, from digging in the yard to fixing the pipes. Welcomed by life size tractor “Scoop”, lose yourself in the interactive world and work together to build a new workshop.

Next, travel to Pontypandy’s Fire Station and explore the Ocean Rescue Centre. Mirror Fireman Sam and climb aboard Jupiter before sailing on Titan, extinguishing fires as you go. Lose yourself in the everyday adventures and voyages of the famous tales.

Allan Leech, CEO of Heritage Great Britain said, “It’s not just play- it is full immersive worlds that the children enter in to. There are three worlds, where the children are encouraged to explore, invent and interact.

"We've had amazing feedback from the public since day one, whether social media, online or the people we meet on the street, it has been the biggest welcome and support we've ever had."
