Man Weaing Scream Mask Robs Melling Post Office
Detectives in Sefton are appealing for information following a robbery at a post office on Saturday night Just after 9pm a man wearing a red scream mask, and wearing grey clothing, walked in to the post office/convience store on Waddicar Lane in Melling, and threatened staff with a knife whilst demanding money. The offender escaped with a quantity of cash and was last seen heading towards a nearby doctors surgery towards Kirkby.
No-one was injured during the incident, but staff were distressed by their ordeal.
Forensic examinations have been carried out at the scene and detectives are also examining CCTV footage in a bid to identify the offender. Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information which could help them with their inquiries, is asked to contact Sefton CID 0151 777 3059,
