A man's been stabbed in the back in Liverpool City Centre.
A man's been stabbed in the back in Liverpool City Centre.
It happened in Chavasse Park at about 01:30 this morning (Sunday 18th October 2015).
The 37-year-old was walking with three of his friends when he got involved in an altercation with another group.
He's in hospital but his injuries are said to be superficial.
Detective Inspector Graeme Robson said:
"We know this can be a busy area of a night, with a number of surrounding bars and people walking to get taxis on The Strand, so I'd appeal to anyone who might have witnessed this incident to get in contact.
"This was a particularly violent attack and I'm sure the public would agree that the person responsible needs to be brought to justice."
