Man Stabbed In Back In Birkenhead
Detectives are appealing for information after a man found with a stab wound to his back in Birkenhead.
An ambulance crew was flagged down by a member of the public on Balls Road at about 6.10pm.
The victim was taken to Aintree hospital where he is currently being assessed.
Officers are appealing for the male driver of a white van who flagged down the ambulance and may be able to help with enquiries to come forward.
Detective Inspector Paul Denn said: "We would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Balls Road who may have any information to contact us.
"We would also like to speak to a male in a white van who we believe flagged down an ambulance and may have information which could assist us."
