Man Shot Through Window In Dovecot
A man's stable in hospital after being shot through an open window of a house in Dovecot in the early hours today (Sunday 17th January).
Merseyside Police were called in after the North West Ambulance Service contacted them at 4.20 this morning to the house in Longreach Road.
Officers say they believe the man was deliberately targeted in the attack which left him with an injury to his back.
A search of the area was carried out and investigations are ongoing.
Detective Superintendent Lee Turner said: "The motive for the incident is not clear but it is believed the incident was targeted.
"I would like to reassure the community that we are doing everything we can to find the person or persons reponsible.
"We would appeal for anyone with information to contact us."
