A man is recovering after being shot in Dovecot

Police have revealed a 28 year old presented himself to hospital with a leg injury consistent with a gunshot wound but was discharged before police were informed

The attack is believed to be targeted and the man’s injury is not thought to be serious. The man is refusing to co-operate with detectives.

Officers are currently in attendance at a property on Colwell Road, Dovecot and an investigation is underway.

Detectives are looking to trace a male, dressed in a grey tracksuit and a woollen hat, who was seen in the area around the time of the incident and was later seen running along Snowberry Road.
