A man's in a stable condition in hospital after a hit and run in Huyton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit and run in Huyton on Tuesday. Officers were called to Woolfall Crescent at around 9pm, following a report that a car - believed to be a silver VW Golf - had been in collision with a 21-year-old man as he helped another motorist change a flat tyre. Following the collision, the driver failed to stop and the offender and vehicle have not been located. Enquiries are ongoing to locate them. The pedestrian sustained minor back injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is described as stable. Patrols from the MSOC Roads Policing Unit attended the scene and an investigation into the full circumstances surrounding the incident is underway.
