Man hurt as microlight hits power cables near to Warrington

The pilot of a microlight has been hurt after crashing in fields near to Warrington.
Cheshire Police were called to an area near to Burtonwood and Newton-Le-Willows around 7 o clock on Thursday.
One fire engine from Warrington, one from Greater Manchester and two from Merseyside were sent to the scene. It appears the aircraft hit power lines before crashing down onto the fields below. The pilot was taken to hospital suffering from head and leg injuries.
@NickMorley2 filmed the aircraft as it flew over his house. He told us the engine was cutting out in the moments before the crash.
