Man hit by HGV in Liverpool

A man's died after he was hit by an HGV in Liverpool City Centre.

It happened on Renshaw Street yesterday afternoon (Sunday 20 June).

Merseyside Police have now confirmed that the man sadly died at the scene, and say they are carrying out enquiries to identify him and inform his next of kin.

The driver of the HGV, a 31-year-old man, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their investigation.
