A man has been found not guilty of killing Patrick Boyle in Huyton.
The 26 year old was shot twice in the chest in a street attack on Newway, just off East Prescot Road by a gunman on a bike.
Thomas Walker was cleared of murder, and also acquitted of possessing a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life at Liverpool Crown Court.
The 21 year old did admit to possessing ammunition without a certificate - and will be sentenced for that at a later date.
