Man Dies After Fall At Halewood Jaguar Plant

A man has died after a fall at the Jaguar Land Rover Plant in Halewood

Police have confirmed officers are on site this morning

They were called by the North West Ambulance Service at 8.54am after a man was found on the ground with serious injuries.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene however he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Detectives are working to establish the cause of the man’s injuries and the circumstances surrounding how he came by them.

Police say the investigation is at an early stage however it is believed the victim may have been on the roof of a building prior to being found injured on the floor.

The area where the man was found has been cordoned off and a police investigation is underway.

In a statement Jaguar Land Rover say:

"We can confirm that a colleague from a contractor organisation was found seriously injured on site at Halewood Operations. The circumstances surrounding this incident are not yet clear and is now the subject of an investigation by Merseyside Police. We can confirm that this incident was outside the factory and is not related to vehicle manufacturing. Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of our colleague at this time.”
