Man dies after collision with lorry in Southport
Incident took place on Scarisbrick New Road on Saturday
A man in his 60s has died after a collision with a lorry in Southport
Shortly before 4pm on Saturday, the ambulance service reported a collision involving a pedestrian and a heavy goods vehicle on Scarisbrick New Road.
The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was treated by paramedics and was sadly pronounced deceased at 4.49pm. Specialist family liaison officers will be supporting the next of kin of the man.
The driver of the lorry stopped to assist police with enquiries.
