Merseyside Police have named the man found dead on the M53 in Wirral last week.
A man who died on the M53 in Wirral last week has been named by Merseyside Police.
30 year old Michael Daniel from Oxton was found dead on the central reservation on the evening of Thursday, 9th February.
The following investigation saw the motorway closed for more than 20 hours as police sought to establish the circumstances surrounding his death,
The investigation into this matter is on-going and officers from the Matrix Roads Policing Investigation Team are continuing to appeal to anyone who has any information about this incident to contact 0151 777 5747 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Michael’s family have asked to be left alone to grieve at this sad and difficult time.
