Man in critical condition after being knocked down by car on Wirral road

A man has been knocked down by a car in Wallasey.
Emergency services were called to Liscard Road at around 12:30pm this afternoon (Monday 5th) to reports of a collision involving a Peugeot car and a male pedestrian.
The man was taken to hospital via ambulance and is believed to be in a critical condition.
Investigations are now underway and a road closure is in place on Liscard Road, between Parkfield Drive and Ashburton Road. Please avoid the area where possible.
