Man charged with sex assault in Liverpool

Police were called to a report that a man had sexually assaulted women on Church Street

A man's been charged with sexual assault, after an incident in Liverpool City Centre yesterday morning (Sunday 10 October).

At around 2.30am Merseyside Police received a report that a man had sexually assaulted women on Church Street.

Officers attended and, following enquiries with Liverpool One security staff, arrested a man on suspicion of sexual assault.

Ashraf Leaemen, aged 25, of Crantock Close, Liverpool, has now been charged with one count of sexual assault on three females.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court this morning, Monday 11 October.
