Man charged with murder after Litherland death
32-year-old Matthew Horton died on Tuesday
A man has been charged with murder after a man died in Litherland earlier this week.
Police were called to a disturbance at a property on Sefton View at around 11:35pm on Tuesday 5 September, during which the victim reportedly suffered stab injuries.
Officers started CPR but the man, Matthew Horton, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Merseyside Police say his next of kin continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
Liam Thomas, 25, of Wooden Avenue, Crosby, has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
He's been remanded in custody to appear at South Sefton Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Friday 8 September).
A 31-year-old woman from Litherland, who was also arrested on suspicion of murder, has been bailed with conditions.
