Man charged with murder after drowning at Wirral fish farm

Police have charged a 28-year-old man with the murder of Barry O'Reilly at a farm in Spital.

Police have charged a 28-year-old man with the murder of Barry O'Reilly at a farm in Spital.

Officers were called at about 9.20am on Sunday to reports of two men fighting in a fishing lake at the farm on Clatterbridge Old Bridge Road,

Mr. O’Reilly was taken to hospital by air ambulance where he later died.

The preliminary cause of death was later confirmed as drowning. Christopher Davies of Town Lane, Higher Bebington will appear at Wirral Magistrates Court this morning.
