Man charged after hit and run in Stoke-on-Trent

A man has been charged with multiple offences following a non-stop collision in Stoke-on-Trent.

Vasim Khan, 37, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker, attempted common assault of an emergency worker, aggravated vehicle taking, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance, driving when alcohol level above limit, dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road accident.

It comes following a collision between a VW Golf, a silver Citroen C4 Picasso and a black Renault Captur on Chapel Lane in Burslem at around 5.40pm on Thursday (4 April).

No one was injured in the collision.

Khan has been remanded in police custody ahead of his appearance at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 19 June.
