Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping Woman In Wallasey
Merseyside Police can confirm a man was arrested in the early hours of this morning (Monday, 17 August) following a report a woman had been pulled into a car in Liscard yesterday evening.
A report was received at about 6.30pm that a woman had been pulled into a silver coloured car on Cromer Drive.
Police attended and a search of the area was undertaken.
Extensive enquiries were undertaken resulting in officers locating the car involved in the incident in Swinton. Officers found the driver of the vehicle and the woman together in a house nearby. The woman was safe and well.
The driver, who is 37, was arrested on suspicion of assault and kidnap. The woman, who is 29, is to be spoken to about the matter.
Both the driver and the woman are known to each other.
An investigation into the full circumstances of the incident is on-going.
