A man from Halewood's been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after an assault in Liverpool City Centre
A 21 year-old man was with a female friend outside the Shangri La Restaurant on Victoria Street at the junction with Cumberland Street, at around 3.30am on Sunday 18th December when he was assaulted.
He was taken to hospital with a serious head injury where he currently remains in a serious condition.
Merseyside Police say a 41 year old man has been arrested, and has been taken to a police station to be interviewed by detectives
