A man's been arrested by Merseyside Police after reports of someone making threats with a knife and gun at Fazakerley.

Armed officers were scrambled to Haven Road just before 9am on Sunday (24th May) after they'd been told a man with weapons threatened people in a vehicle and demanded the keys - he left when they refused.

It's also believed staff at a nearby shop were threatened with a knife too, shortly afterwards.

Police arrested a man on Longmoor Lane, on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm and a knife and attempted robbery, and he's been interviewed by detectives.
