Man arrested after 17-year-old boy stabbed and bike stolen in Whiston
Merseyside Police are continuing to appeal for information from the public
A man has been arrested after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed and had his bicycle stolen in Whiston.
Emergency services were called to Pottery Lane in the town at around 10:15pm on Tuesday 27 May following reports a teenage boy had been stabbed in the buttock and had his black and white electric bike stolen.
The victim was taken to hospital and is now recovering at home, Merseyside Police said.
On Wednesday 28 May, officers from the force arrested a 20-year-old man from Huyton on suspicion of robbery. He has since been released on bail.
Detective Inspector James Rotheram said: “Although we have made an arrest, we continue to appeal to anyone who has information about the incident to help with the investigation.
“If anyone knows the whereabouts of the stolen bike which is described as a black and white Rock Rider MTB to please contact us so we can bring the offenders to justice, or if you see one matching its description for sale to please contact us.”
