The Caribbean Princess cruise liner is spending the Day in Liverpool after docking at the city's terminal.

It's one of seven visits that the Grand Class cruise ship will make to Liverpool this summer.

The cruise ship was built in 2006 and has 900 balcony staterooms. It's set to leave for Belfast at 8.00pm this evening as it makes a 12 day voyage across the British Isles.

It's journey started in Southampton and stops in various parts of England, Scotland & Ireland with a one off stop in France.

Charlotte Martin at the Beatles Story at the nearby Albert Dock said " We are busy today - we love our Cruiser days here in Liverpool, we attract so many people across the world so when they come off the ship they all make their way to the Albert Dock."

"We've got nearly 1700 people booked in today - that's just groups alone, so it creates a massive buzz and atmosphere in the city and the usually bring the sunshine with them."
