Members of Liverpool's Ukrainian community say the support they've received is bringing them comfort, as the threat of war still hangs over their country.

It's after Nato knocked back Russian claims that President Vladimir Putin had ordered his troops to withdraw from the border of Ukraine.

Taras Khomych is a Priest at Ukrainian Catholic Church in Fairfield, he says any invasion of his home country is an attack against everything the UK stands for :

"The values of freedom, free speech and democracy and o the other side it is the war against these values so by defending Ukraine today it defends these values,

"People are supporting us to help to support each other and we pray for peace in Ukraine and do whatever we can to help this confilict be resolved".
