Liverpool Reacts

Steve Rotheram

We spoke to Mayor of Liverpool, Joe Anderson, "The way will be clear for Boris... He'll be looking at dismantling local government. We know what comments he's made about the health service and it really worries me that more and more funding problems will be faced by cities like Liverpool."

Professor Jon Tonge at University of Liverpool told us, "This could mark the beginning of the end of the European Union. It's quite clear that across Europe there are a number of parties, mainly on the right who want to break up the EU and who certainly want a referendum on their own membership. Those calls will be diffiuclt to resist now that Britain has lead the way on this."
