A Liverpool businesswoman says she's honoured to represent the region after making it onto this year's series of The Apprentice.

Noor Bouziane will play a starring role on tonight's first episode - as she fights it out for the £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar.

She started her premium jewellery company, Lux Lumier, at the age of just 20 and is the youngest contestant in this year's series.

Noor said:

"As soon as I got into the auditions and I just looked around the room, I just knew that I was gonna get in the process because I'd just seen that there wasn't enough representation, there wasn't enough Muslim, black people from Liverpool in the show - there hasn't been anyone like me to ever be on the show.

"Baby, it's my time to shine!"

"So I was like, baby, it's my time to shine, okay?

"What you're gonna expect from me is me overcoming a lot of challenges. I thought I knew everything about the business world, but listen, if you wanna learn, The Apprentice is like a crash course of what you can learn in like 10 years, you can learn it in like three months!

"You're gonna learn a lot about yourself, your personality, how you can cope under pressure, how you can work. You're working with people who you've never met. You're gonna live with them and work with them. You guys are just gonna see me overcome a lot, you guys are gonna laugh a lot with me. I'm gonna make a lot of mistakes, it's gonna be very funny!

"I feel like it's an absolute honour being a Scouser, being in such a big show, such a big platform and being so young, I was the youngest contestant in the competition, I was there at the age of 22.

"I hope I've done Liverpool proud"

"I'm just so honoured to be representing Liverpool in such a big platform and I hope I've done Liverpool proud.

"I think I taught the whole house a bit of Scouse. Everyone has a bit of Scouse in them now. I left my imprint. Even Lord Sugar, he's probably half Scouse now!"

Noor and the other contestants have been tasked with hosting a corporate away day on the first episode - and Noor makes a big mistake!

"If you've seen the advert, you know the breadcrumbs...that's me, I'm the breadcrumbs! I'm the one who made the mistake, I'm the breadcrumbs! So just expect just a lot, you're going to be like what, Noor did that!

"It was one of the best life-changing experiences that any 22 year old could ever get given. I worked extremely hard, I believed in my business. I feel like I'm not a regular 22 year old. I'm like 22, but mentally I'm like 52, you know, because to be in such a high level with, you know, such people who are qualified and ready to say you can't be like a regular 22 year old.

"Noor from The Apprentice done it, I can do it!"

I'm super grateful for this opportunity and I just hope that I'm able to inspire a lot of young people and they look up to me and they're like oh my god Noor done it! Noor from The Apprentice done it, I can do it!

"I never finished university but I always had a dream to be rich and be my own boss, so I just made that happen."
